Producing 100% color so far

He so far has 100% color on the ground (creme gene, Agouti and dun factor) and we think he will end up at about 75% colored foals expressing the creme gene, black points or dun factor or both in buckskin or palomino or dun foals. You can see his first foals on the 2008 foals page and also on this bargain corral page. He has 10 more foals coming this year...
He is 4 years old, broke to ride and is ridden in sorting events, parades and as the grand entry carrying the flag for the horse shows locally. I am currently taking lessons on him for reining and he is doing well. We also rode in the Lindsay parade in April along with Tee J Squeeky Bee , our own gray son of Jackie Bee.

Below pic taken April 9th...look at that hip...she is almost a month old.
We are very excited about Pbs Starbuck as his second foal hit the ground April 5th and is a Buckskin/Dun (check out his page for pics)... and his third on the 7th and is a palomino filly ...it proves he is a color producer- throwing that dun factor as well as the creme gene he carries by throwing a palomino dun out of a red mare, a buckskin/dun out of a red mare and a palomino out of a red mare. We can't wait to see the rest...we have 10 more foals by him coming this year...Starbuck is genetically tested: Ee/Aa/Cr and has dun factor and is also tested Negative for HERDA as are all of our Poco Bueno bred stallions so they are all safe to breed even to your Poco Bueno bred mares.

In loving memory of "Ace O Lena" Jan 1st 1991 - June 9th 2007.
Ace O Lena: a performing, own son of Doc O Lena until a stifle injury as a 3 year old, cut his career short. Ace was doing well in the cutting arena and was then retired, after his injury, to a breeding stallion where he did very well for many years. He was put down this year due to complications from that injury that had steadily caused him to become more debilitated over the years. "Ace" will always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature.
He produced beautiful, athletic foals and he will be greatly missed.
An email from someone who knew Ace as a young horse depicts the gentle nature of this magnificent stallion.
"Hi Tina, my name is Kaylee Slayton and I knew the guy who raised Ace O Lena. He was a great stud which I'm sure you know! :) Anyway, I was raised around Ace. I was so upset when Bill sold him. He sold Ace to another really good friend of ours and I still team rope with her. I used to go in with Ace when I would stay at their house and sleep with him and their goat that they had. Ace and the goat were best buds. I used to go out there and just sit on him and he was just a baby sitter. Long story short I love that horse. He has a very special place in my heart."
We were fortunate enough, before Ace was put down last year, to be able to freeze a limited amount of his semen to ensure that his legacy lives on. We are offering that semen for sale for $800 with a $100 booking fee that goes toward that stud fee. See our Frozen Semen contract for more information.

Frozen Semen: Each shipment of frozen semen contains detailed information about the semen including post-thaw semen quality and handling and thawing instructions with Protocol for your Veterinarian to go by. Also available upon request are sterile non-spermicidal insemination kits. Our staff is always available for consultation with the receiving Veterinarian.

"Spirit" (Cheifs Royal Remedy) a nice APHA registered 2006 Tri-Colored Tobiano gelding by our Black and White Homozygous Stallion, Msf Royal Cheifton , and out of a really nice mare, Sunshine Remedy , that is Mr Gunsmoke and Docs Remedy bred and she has a new filly on the ground, born Feb 28th, 08 and is also for sale on the 2008 Foals page. Spirit is currently being broke to ride and working under saddle and bridle in the round pen. He will have 30 days on him soon and he is being offered for sale for only $2500 for a limited time as his price will go up with more training. His dam, Cosa Tamarak, is also for sale on our bred mares page for $2500 in foal to Poco Jessie Jb for another one just like him in 2009 (this stud only throws palominos or buckskins usually with dun factor...this one is a dun/buckskin). Get one like him and the mare to boot!
