The foal will only carry one copy of the gray gene so it should gray slowly for a contrast between it's gray and it's white coloring (sire is a smutty buckskin). Dam is almost white due to the fact that she is homozygous for gray and carries 2 copies of the gray gene...making her gray at a young age...most grays gray slowly over the years and eventually get to the color this mare is at 5. Her filly above is also homozygous for gray so she is graying quickly too (2011 filly is for sale for $4500 and is a Jackie Bee X Gold Fingers bred filly).

PS Eyes Peppin Cute (this filly was sold on payments, never made a payment, and then the word is...they sold her... illegally...) I have her papers, AQHA has been notified...last heard to be in Coalinga area, bought by a Dairy man. If anyone has any leads on her...we don't want her back, we just want the filly to have her papers-to go with her so she doesn't end up, unnecessarily, at the slaughter house one day because someone doesn't realize her value/pedigree.
