The above are some great photographs of Starbuck and Darcy taken at the Open House on March 15th, 2009 by a young lady trying to build a portfolio-her name is Alicia Ordahl and you can email her if you would like any pictures taken.

Pbs Starbuck is a Foundation bred Quarter Horse Dunskin Stallion

He has produced over 97% color to date with his 3rd foal crop beginning to hit the ground this year in 2010.  So far, out of 24 foals...23 of his foals have been palomino, dunalino, buckskin or dunskin with 1 red dun, and 2 zebra duns.  This means that 20 out of 24 foals, got his cream gene and only 1 of those 4 that didn't get his cream gene, didn't get his dun factor, the other 3 did.

...and he has been bred to red, bay and black mares...as well as paints.  He is a listed stallion with APHA so bring your paint mares.

Pbs Starbuck is a Poco Bueno, Skipper W and Two Eyed Jack foundation bred American Quarter horse Dunskin Colored Stallion.  He is gorgeous, athletic and gentle and is throwing the same.  He is  92% foundation bred.  PBS Starbuck is a Dunskin with creme, Agouti and Dun genes.   He is black based in color and has sired 97% color, so far...  Palominos/duns, buckskin/duns and a red dun, zebra dun and one bay.

This awesome stud has all black points with no white on him and stands at 15.1hh.  Sired by SGT Poco King Buck ( X Poco Cherrio a strong Poco Bueno bred quarter horse stallion) and out of a beautiful quarter horse Palomino mare, Kayla Star (Two Eyed Jack and Skipper W breeding as well as Poco Bueno).  Several generations of color behind him on both sides of this great pedigree. Very laid back and sweet disposition.  Straight and correct conformation.   He sorts, trail rides and goes through water chest high, hi-lines, goes over rocks and creeks and logs and rides quietly with other horses on the trail.  He carries the flag at shows while performing the Grand Entry.  He is currently in training for roping, reining and working cowhorse and will be showing as his breeding schedule allows.  His stud fee will be $600 with a $50 booking fee that goes towards that stud fee with $50 discounts for booking early (by January 1), multiple mares (can be booked to different stallions), and referral discounts (tell a friend, book to different stallions and you each get the discount of $50 off stud fees).

If you missed the Early Bird deadline this year you can still get a $50 discount off this stallion's stud fee by paying the stud fee in full at time of booking with your completed contract.  This offer good until our Stallion Preview/Horse Sale on March 14th, 2010.  Multiple mare and referral discounts apply throughout the breeding season and can be used in conjunction with this discount for $100 off each stud fee.

He has been taught to mount the phantom for Artificial insemination and shipping of semen across the country.   His semen has been evaluated and is great for shipping and he had a great conception rate on the 2007, 2008 as well as the 2009 breeding seasons, with live cover, Ai and shipped semen.   Scroll down to print contracts.

We offer the $50 off multiple mares booked to him or any of our stallions here at The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station, so check out our Black and White homozygous Tobiano and our Homozybous Buckskin/Dun Tobiano as well as our new homozygous black stallion, Shiners Dew and our new Smokey Grullo stallion, Bueno Blue Badger, our Homozygous Red Roan stallion, GWS Lenas Drifterand our new bay stallion, Munez Smokin Tater  (we pronounce it "Moneys" Smokin Tater) .

Take advantage of our discounts and save on any of our stallions stud fees.   Book to different stallions, tell your friends about our ranch and our stallions and if your friends book to any of our stallions we will give you an extra $50 off for each friend plus give each friend $50 off the stud fee.

  Starbuck's  OFFSPRING:

Starbuck has never thrown a sorrel or chestnut foal.

This is a 2009 Apha baby by Starbuck and out of my homozgyous Apha mare with 2 glass blue eyes.  This filly is palomino paint.  She is for sale for $2500 and was born on St. Patrick's Day (3/17/2009).   Her palomino coloring is there...just not showing well in the picture and with her foal coat.

Two stallions ridden in a parade, down a busy street with all that noise and commotion...side by side.  Great minds on these studs.

Starbuck's Pedigree

PBS Starbuck  has produced 100% color so far and we think he will end up at over 75% colored foals expressing the creme gene, black points and dun factor or both in buckskin or palomino or dun foals.  You can see his first foals on the Foals page and also on this page.  He is throwing only palomino/dun, buckskin/dun and a red dun...100% color on the ground for 2008 and also for 2009 so far...he bred 19 more mares in the 2008 season so we can't wait to see all that he throws in 2009.  He is also a listed stallion with APHA so bring your paint mares...here is one below that he sired out of a black and white paint mare and check out the Foals page for a nice palomino paint filly with 2 glass blue eyes that was born this year on March 17th, 2009.

Starbuck is 5 years old, broke to ride and is ridden in sorting events, parades, camping, trail riding and as the grand entry carrying the flag for the horse shows with the college here, locally.  I have taken lessons on him for reining and he is being ridden at the local sorting events, team penning and competed at THE EQUINE AFFAIR in Pomona, CA January 29th-February 1st, 2009 ridden by Darcy Dimmitt, in the Extreme Cowboy Race there and currently in training for roping and was in the Lindsay parade again on April 18th along with Tee J Squeeky Bee and Mr FL Fancy Pants.   Talented, all around stallion.  He will be finishing his roping training in July after breeding season is over.  Thanks to Sara Stark-Williams of Chowchilla, CA.

Pbs Starbuck's  stud fee is $600 ...and he has produced nothing but color to date!  Palominos/duns, buckskins/duns and one red dun!  He is tested negative for HERDA so he is safe to breed to Poco Bueno bred mares.  He is tested and carries both the red and the black gene, Agouti, dun factor and the creme gene as well.

On any of our stallions:  Book early  for 2009 and save $50 off the stud fee.  Bring a friend, book multiple mares or refer someone who books to any of our stallions and get another $50 off ...each!  Proven mares get an additional $50 off the stud fee.  If you are a returning customer...ask me for a VIP discount of $50 off too...lots of ways to cut thestud fee down and get a real bargain.  Check out our other stallions and don't miss our Homozygous Black Stallion...Shiners Dew .  He won't sire a red foal no matter what you breed him too.
