MSF Royal Cheifton is a 2003 16.2 hh Black and White Homozygous Tobiano/Overo stallion. He is Homozygous for the Tobiano gene as were both his parents (Shelterwood Laboratories Tested) and he is UC Davis tested for the LWO gene because of his Tovero coat pattern even though he does not have any Overo in his immediate pedigree. He is confirmed to be N/N so he cannot throw a lethal white foal when crossed with Overo mares, even if they carry the gene. He is safe to breed to all Overo mares as well as Tobiano. He throws a high percentage of black and white foals. He comes from great Champion bloodlines like Boston's Leo Mac (191 Performance Pts, 2 ROM & 2 Superiors, Sire of Winning Offspring including 508 total Pts, 4 Superiors & 4 ROMS) X Boston King Leo and Spotted Scorpion (Sire of APHA Champions, Offsrping Earning Include: 15 ROMS, 10 Superiors, 1426 Total Pts, Reserve World Champion Hunter Hack) and grandson of Hank A. Cheifton (1995 Honor Roll Champion, 1996 Top Ten World Show in 2 events, 3 ROM's in Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping & Amateur Calf Roping). This fine stallion was easily broke to ride...his disposition is fantastic!!!
He will stand to mares via frozen shipped semen only, beginning in 2009 for a stud fee of $450 that includes the $50 booking fee. Multiple mare/early bird discounts available so book early, bring a friend and take advantage of $50 off each mare even if booked to different stallions as we stand several other fine stallions such as our Homozygous Buckskin Tobiano, Buckskin/Dun, Dblsmokinfreckolina , Maggiano, Homozygous for Black Smokey Grullo , Homozygous Black Stallion , Red Roan stallion .
Shipped semen, and Artificial insemination are also available if needed on any of our stallions. Mare care is $7 per day for a dry mare and $9 per day for a wet mare (foal at side).
