"The Way It Works"

Our Queensland Heeler pups are $250 for a red pup and $275 for a blue one due to the high demand for blues right now.  Email  to be put on the list to notify when we have pups available to purchase or you may reserve for a pup ahead if you are sure you want one and click here to pay via paypal.  Reserving a pup will get you one quicker as I notify those who have reserved ahead first that the litter is born and they choose first.  I then email those on the list that I have pups available to purchase if there are any left.

If you just email to be put on the "List to Notify":

I will email you back to let you know that I have saved your email address and you are on that list (I don't save anything at this point except your email address that you emailed me with or specified to use as a contact email).  When a litter is born and there are pups available to purchase, after those who reserved ahead have been matched up with theirs, I will email everyone at the same time on the list with pictures of the pups left to purchase, along with color/gender and information about the parents.   It is first come, first serve, so email back quickly and let me know which pup you want.  If you do not want a pup from this litter, you don't need to email me back, you will remain on the list until you ask to be removed and you will be notified each time I have pups available to purchase.  Sometimes there are no pups available out of a litter as all have been presold/reserved and matched up with owners.

If you wish to Reserve a pup so you know you have one coming:

I do accept reservations for pups with no refunds so please be sure.   I will take a Reservation for a pup, paid in full, as long as you realize I cannot control when my females come into heat to be bred, though I have 6 females and they have 2 litters a year, usually.   I also cannot predict or control the number of pups that are born in each litter, nor can I control or predict the number of a certain color/gender produced in a litter so, depending upon who reserved and what color/gender they reserved, it may take a litter or two before I can match you up with a pup according to the specifications (color/gender/parents/patches/spots, etc) that you have requested or desire.  I can promise you that I am fair and I go in order of reservation date with regard to who gets a pup and I answer emails/phone calls in order that they are received for picking/matching pups up to owners.

The way it works: When a litter is born,  I  email those who have a pup reserved first.   Those who have reserved and paid ahead will be emailed at the same time and will be equal as far as picking (first come, first serve at this point so pick quickly and email or call me back with your choice as I must move on due to docking tails at 3 days old).   Once the reserved people have been matched to a pup, I will then email the rest of those who have indicated interest and asked to be notified when a litter is born, with pictures of the litter and the pups still available to buy.   It is then First come, first serve for these potential pup buyers.  Whoever gets back to me first and paypals the money...gets a pup.  The order in which you have "reserved" a pup only comes into play if there are not enough of the requested color/gender in that litter to acomodate all the reservations for that litter.

For Example:   If  I have 3 people who reserved for a blue female and 3 who reserved blue males and 2 reserved a red female and 1 reserved for a red male, and I have a litter of 2 blue females and 3 blue males...the red folks wait for the next litter with reds, of course, and will be notified when the red litter arrives and also of any extra blue pups, just in case they want to switch to a blue or have friends/family that might be interested in a blue.    The first 2 persons who reserved for a blue female and the 3 folks that reserved for a blue male, would get an email with pictures of the litter and individual pups, pointing out which 2 pups were the blue females, and which 3 were the blue males.  If they want one from that litter and like the markings (or lack of them), on these pups, they email back as quickly as they can to let me know which one they prefer (first come, first serve).   I will then match these 2 people up with the 2 blue females available, and the 3 people who wanted blue males up with the 3 blue male pups.  The third person who wanted a blue female would then be moved to the next litter, and get priority over other reserved people and be emailed first when the next litter is born.

If there are plenty of each gender, the person who emails me back first and picks their pup...gets that pup.

Remember...if there is someone who has waited more than one litter for a pup and hasn't gotten one yet...they move up to a "priority" position over everyone else.
Please be gracious and understanding if you do not get your first choice because someone emailed back before you,  we are adults, not children.  All the pups are beautiful and from the same litter with the same parents and the same genetics.  You will love your pup.  If you do not get back to me in time and the pup you would want has been chosen by someone else...choose another pup quickly or let me know if you would rather wait for the next litter as that is also an option and you would then have priority over the rest, but equal to anyone else who has waited a litter.

Reserved pup owners pick in the order they get back to me.  I even open emails and return phone calls in the order I receive them.    If I do not hear from you after emailing you (and calling you if you left me a contact phone number to do so) and you have reserved a pup, I will save a pup of the color/gender you requested, for you, so please specify which color and gender you prefer upon reservation, and tail docking preference, by putting it on your check or paypal payment (I will save a copy of your payment and your notes in a file).  You may also give me an idea of what you are looking for like a patch on one eye or no spots or patches, etc. and I will do my best to accommodate you when I pick the pup for you (only if you cannot be reached).  We dock tails at 3 days old and have to move on so we can let the rest of the waiting list choose, so we can dock tails knowing everyone wants the tail docked (or not) as this is done at 3 days old.  It would be a huge waiting game for everyone if I let each person pick in order of reservation (no matter how long it took to get back to me) and I would never be able to accommodate those who wanted a tail left in tact.

After all reserved pup owners have picked, I then notify the waiting list of the litter's arrival (only if there are pups left to purchase) so they can begin to choose from those pups that are left.  When asking to be put on the list, you may specify color/gender or distinguishing marks but just know that I only save your email address in my AOL file and not your entire email with that information in it so I will probably ask you again, at this time, and I will probably, at some point, notify you of a blue female's litter even if you don't want a blue, or a red litter when you want a blue pup, as I don't keep separate lists for blue or red (or male vs female interests) and, besides, you might change your mind or know someone wanting that particular color/gender, even if you don't.

The "List to Notify" is just a list of people who have indicated interest in a Queensland Heeler puppy by emailing me and asking to be on the email "Notify List".  It does not guarantee you a pup from the next litter, just as it doesn't guarantee me that you will buy one from my next litter.  Nor does it guarantee that you will be notified of the next litter when there are no pups available to buy, as I don't email everyone to tell them there are no pups available.  Those on the list will only hear from me when there is a pup that is available to buy (or I have one that is older and needs a good home).   Reserving is the only way to guarantee a pup.   Let me know if you want off the list for any reason and I will be glad to take you off so you aren't bothered anymore if you have found a pup, bought one from me or just simply changed your mind.

If you are on the "List to Notify" and get an email about pups available, Act Quickly, if you are still interested in a puppy and send me an email at heelerpups@aol.com about which color and gender you want and which pup, from the pictures (male or female and red or blue- mentioning distinguishing marks or the number of the pup you want as I usually have them numbered by this time).  I will email back confirmation that the pup you like is available and it is yours if you paypal the money right away.  If you have not reserved ahead I will allow you some time to get the paypal payment made before I let someone else buy it.

Paypal the money for your puppy by using the Buy Now button for paypal here or on the main page as I have put links to it all over for your convenience.   Paypal is your only option at this point as I cannot hold a pup while I wait for a check in the mail (you don't have to be a paypal member...and you can pay by check or credit card/ATM with this button and it is safe and secure).   You may mail a check if you are reserving for an upcoming litter and it is not born yet.  Just email me to let me know you are doing so and I will email you back when I have received it and your pup reservation is secure (please include pup color/gender/tail docking preference, and your contact info such as email/phone).

I match everyone up to their pup using the first come, first serve system on color/gender and distinguishing marks on a particular pup.  I even go so far as to click on my emails in the order in which they are received to make sure I am fair.  If you do not end up getting the pup you wanted, you can choose another pup (quickly) or wait for the next litter and have a priority reservation over everyone else for that next litter so we can get you the pup you want.  Priority means you will be first to be notified of the litter's arrival and have first chance to pick (possibly with others who have reserved and waited a litter), and you will have the best shot at getting a pup that litter and the chance to pick first.   Also, if you are the only one who has waited a litter, you will get the color/gender you want as long as there is one in the litter.

I will continue to post information about available pups and pictures of them as they are chosen, paid for, and grow and get their "Queensland color"...you can monitor the site for updates and new pictures (about once a week) after you purchase.  I will also send out an email and post it on the site if a pup becomes available later, for whatever reason...

Please remember that new moms are very protective so the first pictures will have to do until they are a day or so old and then I will take better ones, I don't like to take the pups from mom too much when they are first born as that makes her very nervous.  I document the patches, color, gender, etc. as they are born and number the pups, take a litter picture and try to get a decent picture of the face/body of each one for the email.  Please don't ask for more pics before you choose as while you are asking, someone else will be choosing and you may lose out on the pup you thought you might want and have to settle for your second choice.  Pups are born all white with just the spots or patches that give me the hint of their color...the color usually begins to fill in at about 3 weeks old.  They don't change much the first 2 weeks but I will get pictures about once a week to keep you posted so you recognize your pup when you come to get it and so you can see the changes in color and size as they grow.

I will let the pups go to their new homes at about 6 weeks of age and will post the weekend nearest to that as the pickup weekend but you can come during the week too if that works better for you, just try to come as close to that pick up weekend as possible, so one puppy isn't waiting all alone to be picked up after it's siblings have all gone (that is sad to watch)...this 6 week old date will be adhered to as long as they are eating puppy chow well by then, and they always are as I keep free choice puppy chow out for mom and put egg in it for added protein (I have chickens) and to get them started on it once they begin to come out of the doghouse and walk around a bit.  They are usually beginning to eat dry puppy food (with a raw egg or two) by about 3 weeks of age.  I slack off on  the egg a little once they near the 6 week old mark so they are used to just plain dry puppy chow when they go home.  I do not moisten it for them so you won't have to either, when you get your pup home, though, putting an egg in it will ensure he/she gets the nutrition/protein needed and entice them to eat once they are off mother's milk.

First shots will be administered to the pups at 6 weeks of age (usually the day before, on smaller litters, or the day they go home with you on larger ones, so I can keep track of who got the vaccination) and will need up to 3 more about 2 weeks apart once they go home.  I deworm each litter once or twice during that 6 weeks, as all puppies have worms, but it is also a good idea to do it after they get home too.  My breeding females and males are all on Revolution/Frontline for flea and tick control as well as heartworm and are dewormed on a regular basis too.  The kennels are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and sprayed for ticks/fleas between litters and moms are given their flea/tick control just before whelping so the pups are less likely to have them, but summer pups are the hardest.  I use Blue Dawn dish washing soap for pups that young, if I see a flea, as it is tough to find flea control products safe for puppies under 8 weeks of age.

To Reserve a pup in advance you can send a check to:

My cell # is 559-909-2156 if you would like to speak to me.

*Refund Policy:  Please be sure you want a pup if you reserve in advance as there are no refunds on pups, and there is no exception to this...your reservation will be good for a couple of years, if your situation changes, and is transferable, of course.  Just let me know when you are ready.

Just as a reminder: I cannot predict gender or color :)  ...so we have to be patient and wait for each litter to be born to know how many people will get a pup that have reserved and the color and gender available.  You may have to wait a litter or two depending upon what color or gender you want and which females I am breeding to which males.

Tails can be left in tact upon request as long as the pup is chosen and paid for by 3 days of age.  Once a tail has been left for you on a pup...you cannot change your mind as we will not dock tails after 3 days of age ...and we cannot put tails back on either.  :)  Duck tape has its limitations.

You may prepay for a pup or "Reserve" a pup by using our paypal buttons (Current pricing is $250 for a red pup and $275 for a blue one) .  You can use a credit card/checking account/ATM  via paypal ...a paypal account is not necessary.  Paypal charges a fee of $7-$8 or so, which is added onto the price of the pup and reflected in the "Buy Now" button.  They are designed so that only $250 or $275 ends up on my end and paypal takes their small fee.

For instance, $257.78 is what you will pay on your end for a red pup and $250 is what will appear on my end.

and $283.55 is what you will pay on your end for a blue one, and $275 will appear in my paypal account.

Or you can mail a check in advance to avoid the paypal fee if the litter is not here yet.  Once pups arrive, paypal is the only way to pay, as it is instant payment.

Paypal takes credit cards/ATM and checks

After emailing at heelerpups@aol.com  to make sure the pup you want is available, if  you are buying a pup that is already born, click the button below and specify which pup you want in your paypal payment.  Also state if you want the tail left in tact or not.  If you are Reserving ahead, specify the litter (parents), color/gender and type of markings preferred and if you want the tail docked and I will email you back to let you know I got your payment and that your pup is reserved.  If using someone else's name/credit card to pay via paypal, please put a note on the payment who it is for and the email address I should match that payment up to, for further correspondence.

You must use the paypal button on my site even if you have your own account so the paypal fees are taken out on your end and the full amount of the pup gets paid to me.

If you mail a check I will copy your check before I deposit it and email you that I got your check (please email me to let me know that you are mailing a check and include that email address in a note or the memo section so I can match your check up with your email address).

**Thank you so much for taking the time to read the above, I know it is long, but I am just trying to avoid any hurt feelings or misunderstandings.   I own a stallion station and raise horses too.  I raise Queensland Heeler pups on the side because I love the breed and most of my buyers do too...and most of them realize that a good one is well worth waiting for.

I do have a lot of demand for my pups (usually all sold by 3 days old) and have up to 10 or so reserved ahead at any given time, but some are specified for a particular female/litter and the rest are just next available color/gender, etc.  Most folks don't wait more than one litter, unless they choose to, due to wanting a particular litter or markings.

Email to be on the "List to Notify"

Reserve a pup in advance using paypal or you can mail a check to Tina Lewis, 19909 Avenue 376, Woodlake, CA  93286 (located between Bakersfield and Fresno off Hwy 99)
