BREEDING CONTRACT I, _______________________________________, hereby agree to breed the Mare___________________________________________ Registration #________________________________ Her SIRE: ____________________________________ Registration #___________________________ Her DAM: ____________________________________ Registration # ___________________________ To the Stallion: MSF Royal Cheifton, Registration # 735,683 His Sire: Cheif Betweendances, Registration# 580,143 and Dam: Letas Royal Lady, Registration # 315,237 The fee for such service shall be $500.00 which includes a $50.00 booking fee that serves as a non-refundable deposit payable before the arrival of the Mare along with signed contract and copy of mare's registration papers (if applicable) leaving a balance of $450.00 payable upon arrival of Mare to The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station.  (This fee is waived if this is a breed back on the live foal guarantee.)  Return privileges through July 1st of the year following the oriinal breeding contract date only.  Stallion owner offers early bird discounts of $50 for mares booked before January 1 each year and also offers multiple mare discounts of $50 for mares booked at the same time. Breedback: Yes/No Board for the Mare shall be at the rate of $7.00 per day for Dry Mare care and $9.00 per day for Wet Mare care (with foal at side). This fee is payable upon the Mares departure along with any balance of the Stud fee and any Veterinarian fees due. All Mare care and expenses on mare/foal shall be paid upon mare’s departure or upon receipt of invoice via email or mail at the end of a month.  The Stallion owner strongly suggests Mare be checked by a Veterinarian for breeding condition and cultured before arrival (except Maiden mares) to insure she is free from infectious, contagious or transmittable diseases.  Stallion owner will attempt to settle mare with reasonable diligence and may, at her discretion check said mare for follicular activity in the event she is not showing estrus after 15 days of teasing protocol, the cost of which shall be borne by the Mare owner.  If however, for any reason the mare does not settle, mare owner will hold Stallion owner harmless as Stallion owner shall assume no liability for a Mare that will not breed, cannot conceive, or for accident, sickness or death of the Mare or foal, but will exercise every reasonable effort to settle Mare and use good judgment in care and supervision of Mare and her foal. Mare owner, in turn, shall not be responsible for injury or accident to Stallion caused during breeding Mare. There will be no refund on breeding fees and the breeding season for this Stallion begins February 1 and ends July 1. However, if Mare fails to conceive, Stallion owner will provide breeding free the following year (with the exception of Mare care costs). Mare replacement or transfer of breeding may be accepted when deemed necessary. HOMOZYGOUS STALLION LCFG: Stallion owner guarantees a live colored foal.  It is hereby agreed that a live foal is a foal that stands and nurses without assistance. **Please Note that For LFG to apply the mare must remain with Stallion owner for 14-17 days following her last breeding so she can be re-bred immediately if signs of estrus or follicular activity appear and sent home if no signs are apparent and pregnancy can be assumed.  A pregnancy check by Mare owner's Veterinarian once leaving The Lewis Ranch Stallion Station is also strongly suggested, at Mare owner's expense, alleviating any doubt, guesswork or the possibility of an unnecessarily empty mare. This contract shall not be transferable by Mare Owner without the prior written consent of Stallion Owner. A Breeder's Certificate for registering the foal will be issued when the Mare Owner notifies The Lewis Ranch of the birth of the live foal and after payment of all bills due have been paid.
